Bank of Baroda invited applications for admissions to the 1 year full-time post graduate diploma course in Banking and Finance from Manipal University to be conducted at the Baroda Manipal school of Banking, for the recruitment of 240 Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I . Pay Scale:

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done after assessing candidates’ performance in Written Examination ('WE') and Interview. All the candidates applying for the post with the requisite fee will be allowed to appear for the WE.

The Written Examination will be held in the month of July/August 2013.

Eligibility of the candidates would be determined only at the final stage i.e. Interview stage.

Final selection will be on the basis of performance in the 'WE' and interview taken together.


Written Examination: 

For Research Officer (Grade 'B') (DEPR) and (DSIM): The Written Examination will have three papers of 100 marks each. While paper I will be of Objective type (in the concerned subject). Paper II and III will be of Descriptive nature-- Paper – II will be of the concerned subject and paper III will be of English. All the papers will be of 3 hours duration.

Paper II and Paper III would be assessed for only those candidates who qualify in Paper I. Question papers for Paper I & II will be set in Hindi and in English and could be answered either in Hindi or English. Paper III will be in English only and will have to be answered in English only.

Candidates may opt for interview in Hindi or English.

For Rajbhasha Officer (Grade 'A'): The 100 mark ‘WE’ will be of 3 hours duration will be aimed to assess the candidates' ability to undertake translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa and their knowledge of terminology in Hindi vis-à-vis English with greater emphasis on technical terms pertaining to Banking, Economics, Commerce and allied subjects and ability to express themselves in Hindi and English.

For Manager (Technical – Civil & Technical – Electrical) (Grade 'B'): The Written Examination will have two papers of 100 marks each. While the one hour Paper I will be of Objective type (to test candidates’ professional knowledge /  job knowledge), the three-hour Paper II will be of Descriptive nature (BE degree level).

Paper II would be assessed for only those candidates who qualify in Paper I. Both the question papers will be set in Hindi and in English and could be answered either in Hindi or English.

Candidates may opt for interview in Hindi or English.

Selected candidates will be liable to be posted / transferred anywhere in India.

Admission Letters (AL) will be sent to all the admitted candidates at their registered E-mail ID well before the exam date. Candidates will have to download & take a print out of their Admission Letter (AL) and it on the exam day.

The list of admitted candidates for the 'WE' along with the time table (i.e. Date and Time of ‘WE’) will be displayed on RBI website.

Travel Allowance: Candidates called for interview, will be reimbursed to and fro actual First Class (Non-AC)/II AC railway fare by the shortest route from the place of their residence/place of work to the place of interview whichever is nearer.

Probation Period: Initial appointment will be on probation for a period of two years, extendable upto a maximum period of four years, at Bank's discretion.

Application Fee: Non-Refundable application fee of Rs.100 along with applicable Bank Charges has to be paid by the candidates either through on-line mode till 7 June 2013 or off-line mode till 11 June 2013.

SC / ST / PWD candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

Online Payment of fees: After filling the online application form through bank’s website, candidates can pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application using MASTER / VISA debit / credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information asked. Transaction charges for on-line payment will be borne by the candidates. On successful payment of the fees, a e-receipt and application form will be generated. Candidates should take the printout for record.

In case of any difficulty experienced in submission of On-Line application and/or payment of fees, candidates may contact the helpline telephone No. 022- 29687111.

Offline Payment of Fees: While filling the online application form through bank’s website, candidates should opt for offline mode for payment of fees. On submitting the application form, a Provisional Registration number with Password and a fee payment challan will be generated by the system. Candidates should note down the Registration number with Password and take a printout of the fee payment challan.

On the 2nd working day after registration candidates can pay the fees within three working days at any branch of Bank of Baroda / Bank of India / Bank of Maharashtra/ Indian Overseas Bank / Central Bank of India / Punjab National Bank / United Bank of India. Once the fees is paid, the registration process is complete.

Candidates will receive a registration confirmation by SMS / e-Mail after two working days from the date of payment of fees. Candidates can reprint the submitted application containing fee details, after three days from the date of fee payment.

How to Apply: Interested candidates can apply on-line through Bank's website till 7 June 2013. 

After filling all the details in the online application form, candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature , deposit fees through any one of the two methods, discussed above, and ‘SUBMIT’ the form. On successful submission of the application form, a Registration / Receipt Number and Password will be generated by the system. Candidates should take a print out of this page and retain it for future use.

Candidates need not submit the system generated print out of the On-Line application to the Board's office.

Candidates should have a valid E-mail ID which should be kept active till the declaration of final result, for receiving Admission Letter (AL) / Interview advice, etc. by e-mail.

If a candidate desires to apply for more than one post, he / she should submit separate On-Line application for each post with requisite fee.

The posts are also open to the employees of RBI (Staff Candidates) who satisfy the eligibility criteria separately stipulated by the Bank and who apply On-line within the closing date.
