Lalitha's intention with this series of works, is to literally translate at the physical level, what an individual probably experiences in a contemplative state of mind. With simple lines and distinctly patinated colors of her bronzes, she tries to bring forth the subtle meanings and interpretations of the spiritual concepts of the manifestations in reality and non-duality. 15.Down the Memory lane - Painting Exhibition

Milind Nayak, the well known artist is showcasing some of his best works which were never showcased earlier at his gallery for a month starting 17th of July 2013. The exhibition will have a personal touch to it, as Milind will personally take you down the memory lane while sipping a cup of tea or coffee! 'I was chatting with some of my friends when I asked them how it would be if I had a painting for everyone. We laughed at this and I commented saying it was like democratizing art. When art touches people at the most affordable levels it becomes sort of democratic' says Milind. This conversation led Milind thinking and as he was sorting out and cataloging a lot of his painting from the past, he thought of this unique idea of showcasing it in his studio and making it personal by walking through with everyone that walks through the door. Milind felt that he could not display it in any gallery as retrospective work as he felt he wasn't old enough to earn that title. At the same time, he felt it was a sin to put them in boxes with naphthalene balls and silica gel for company and finally seal it with a tape. He felt that he had to share it with his friends and art lovers and hence decided to showcase his unboxed paitings in his personal space. This, my friend, is an invitation to drop in and have a cup of tea with me and allow you to take you on the memory lane.
