They manage a whole project from start to finish. 

Software Developer

Software Developers or Programmers are involve in design, implementation (coding), testing and maintenance of Software Systems.

In some places the role might be further specialized, Example: Front-end Developer, Back-end Developer Etc...

Systems Analyst

Systems Analysts analyze business problems and then design information systems that provide a feasible solution.

Business Analyst

Business Analyst role is analyzing customer needs, gathering and documenting business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement to processes and business operations using information technology. 

Technical Support

These are the Professional Troubleshooters of the IT world. 

Network Engineer

They can be involved at any or all stages of the project life cycle.

Web development covers everything to do with building websites, involves some hardcore programming as well as the more creative side of designing.

Software Tester

Software Testers or QA Engineers try to anticipate all the ways an application or system might be used and how it could fail. 
Software Testers prepare tests, execute tests, analyze test results, and report defects.

Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. DBA involves in the planning and development of the database.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides the knowledge and expertise in a specific subject for a project.

System Architect defines the architecture of a System (System composed of Software and Hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirements.
