Job Description:
Fastenal India is looking for a IT QA engineer. This individual will be involved in manual testing of Web based application and Web Services.
Role Description:
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios, test cases & test strategies.
Analyze and Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide valid feedbacks and appropriate estimates.
Ability to prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities with scrum team.
Identify, record, document thoroughly in test management, defect & project management tool.
Ability to perform Sanity, regression, SIT & UAT executions on various environments as when required.
Well versed with testing process to apply in Agile/Scrum framework.
Collaborate with internal & external teams with good communication and soft skills to make sprint deliverables with smooth transition and achieve team goals and objectives
Display techno functional abilities to assist development team in debugging and capture the events to pin point the issues.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools & Techinques and flexible enough to apply and adopt test strategies & process.
Requirements & Desired Skills:
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Proven work experience in Web services (REST API) & Web application testing.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Good experience in using SVN, JIRA, web service testing & Confluence.
Good work experience in ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
Hands-on experience with both functional and non-functional testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a Plus
Solid knowledge of SQL and backend testing
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Experience in working with offshore team is a plus
Experience on Supply chain domain is desirable
Sound interpersonal and team working skills
Behavioral Attributes
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar curriculum background is preferred
3-5 years of relevant experience
