Business Unit Overview
Fastenal India is looking for three junior Software Developer / Designer in PeopleSoft technology. This individual will be involved in the enterprise application development and support. There may be short term and / or long term travel requirements to the US.
Role Description;
Determines and develops multiple approaches to arrive at a feasible solution
Defines and implements application level architecture and participates in architecture design teams
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts
Designs applications on complex major projects and subsystems and reviews and advises on technical designs
Consults on development and delivery of a major component or entire project deliverable
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule
Contribute to Design Review and Code Review
Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the development lifecycle for prevention and early correction of quality problem
Document lessons learned, help maintain knowledge database
Desired Skills:
Demonstrative expertise in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.x and below – Functional and Technical.
Expertise in SQR, Application Engines, Integration Broker, People Code/Application Packages, COBOL, Component Interface, SQL.
Proficiency in Application Designer, strong hands on experience with Application Package, People Code, Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQR, Query, nVision, BI Publisher, Crystal and SQL are desired.
Ability to generate, retrieve, and analyze complex trace files required to troubleshoot and fix application issues, such as SQL, People Code, Application Engine, COBOL traces.
Preferred Skills (good to have):
Highly self-motivated and directed with strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Functional Expertise in PeopleSoft Financials modules – AP, PO, GL, AM, PC, AR/Billing.
Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
Hands on experience developing, implementing and analyzing test cases and plans.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Out of the box thinker with an ability to research and develop solution.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred
3+ years of relevant experience
