Job Description :
The incumbent will be responsible for responsible for successfully designing and managing the delivery of mobile solutions and technologies
Key Responsibilities :
- Defining the technical requirements for the implementation of the mobile solution
- Discussing technical aspects of the mobile application solution architecture, including the technology used, methodology followed, and devices selected
- Responsible for successfully designing and managing the delivery of mobile solutions and technologies
- Take ownership of the solution from end to end, and be responsible for translating functional requirements into a mobile solution
- Independently drive and provide advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule.
- Oversees systems design and implementation of most complex design components
- Maintain and support existing software applications and provides subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of complex projects to achieve key business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other team members.
- Rapidly prototype and POC key application features
- Ensure appropriate consistency of mobile solutions, systems and solutions architecture across multiple projects, Devices and Platform
Critical Competencies for Success :
Technical :
- Bachelor’s degree/PG Preferred 10+ years as Architect, Mobile app development
Media and Entertainment :
- Expert in design and development of iOS, Android, HTML5, mobile frameworks, Connected devices and Smart TVs application
- Demonstrated deployments of consumer-facing mobile software application on iOS, Android, connected devices and smart TVS
- Excellent understanding of Video product, Player, DRM, Mobile Analytics and Advertising across all platforms
- Proven ability to design, optimize and integrate business processes across disparate systems and mobile technologies
- A thorough understanding of OOP, design patterns, iOS, Android, and mobile application integration
- Excellent analysis skills and ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
- S/he should have Experience working as architect defining the overall technical architecture for the mobile application, connected devices, smart TV, affiliate integration
- Experience in developing reusable frameworks,
- Experienced in designing and developing mobile sdk and integrating mobile apps with web-services and external APIs
- Understanding of mobile security protocols, analytics and social channel integration.
- Understanding various non-functional aspects in mobile application design and provide a solution to optimize performance, scalability etc.
- Must have a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects driving a team of engineers
- Exposure to complete product development lifecycle- from inception to production deployment & scaling.
- Expertise in highly scalable distributed architectures is a must
- Expertise in native or hybrid mobile app development is a must Deep knowledge of agile software development, Test-Driven development, Continuous Integration
- Experience in Distributed Caching techniques
- Experience in mobile application security
- Experience in REST API design, SDK, Players 3rd party integrations
- Experience in versioning systems like GitHub, SVN etc.
- Hands on programming & debugging skills in dev, staging and production environments
- Strong experience with Profiling and Performance Tuning code and applications,
- Ability to cut through complexity and ambiguity to create actionable next steps
