What is a Cover Letter?
A cover letter is a one-page document that you include in a job application (along with your resume). Your cover letter should introduce you to an employer, and give them additional information about your qualifications and character.
The goal of a cover letter is to convince employers that you’re interested in and qualified for a job. Your cover letter is also a great place to provide additional details about your work history, skills, or life situation to a prospective employer.
Application Cover Letter
This is the most common type of cover letter and is used to apply for a job. This traditional style includes details about your professional experience as it relates to the requirements of the job post.
Referral Cover Letter
A referral cover letter is also used when applying for a job but mentions the name of a current employee who referred you to the open position. A referral can help you stand out during the hiring process. Hiring through the referral process is often easier, less expensive and more effective than using job sites for employers.

Search Or Find The Job Of Your Choice
1. Job Portals:
The majority of the job market is ruled by the portals. Monster, Naukri, Dice, Indeed are some examples of the most popular job sites.
Create a profile and let the portal suggest jobs for you – which you could apply from within the portal itself.
When you hear of a job opening at your friend’s organization, ask for the JD (job description). Not always do our friends know exactly what our skills are and how much of expertise we have in them.
3. Social Networking Sites:
Sites like LinkedIn have taken the job market by a storm. The professional information, references and everything else being so accessible makes them perfect for finding job openings. Join the groups that are applicable and appeal to you. All you need to do next is to be on a lookout for job openings.
4. Online Forums:
With online communities being rampant, they could come in handy for some freelancing or specialized skillset job openings. A word of caution, try not to post anything personal about yourself unless you check the legitimacy of the source.
